Rowan vs Maryland round 2 Live Update

This week Maryland came to Hollydell to play against the Profs. Different venue, same result. Rowan won 14-2.

Brien Bennett is back in goal for Rowan after serving his three game suspension for his involvement in the Temple brawl.

Opening face off. And here we go.

Back and forth to start, Rowan looks to have the advantage.

More pressure by the Profs.

Zackowski scores after the puck goes off a couple skates right to his stick. Hard work pays off and Rowan gets some luck.

Caulfield scores on the power play. It is his second of the game and 5th of the season. The Profs are perfect on the power play so far this game.

Rowan leads 9-1.

Maryland takes a few shots on goal but takes another penalty.

Rowan doesn’t score on the power play for the first time tonight and takes a penalty.

Final minute of the second period.

Buzzer sounds, end of the second period.

Rowan leads 9-1 after two periods.

Third period starts, and Maryland changes back to their original goal tender.

Profs defensive man, Rogers, takes the puck coast to coast and scores. It is his 1st of the season.

Lowney scores his first of the season. This was also his first career goal.

The Profs have had 22 different players score this season.

The game has slowed down a bit, not much happening.

Crosschecking penalty to Maryland, as players were jockeying for position.

Moen scores a power play goal off of a one timer.

Rowan leads 12-2.

Profs penalty. Maryland 2 for 3 on the power play tonight.

The Profs are up by ten but still giving it their all and sacrificing their bodies to block shots.

Penalty killed off.

Larkin scores his first goal of the night. It is his team leading 12th goal of the season.

Rowan leads 13-2.

Maryland applies some pressure. Bennett making some good saves.

Maryland gets a few shots but the Profs kill off the power play.

Now Maryland takes a penalty and Rowan goes back on the power play. The Profs are 4 for 5 with the man advantage tonight which is excellent.

Caulfield scores his 3rd goal of the night  on the power play for the hat trick. After only scoring three goals all season he scores three tonight, for six on the year.

Rowan leads 14-2.
